2018 AHMA Annual Meeting

The Affordable Housing Management Association of Washington (AHMA)  holds their annual meeting during the convention.  The election of board members takes place in this meeting.

In accordance with the Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA) of Washington and under the applicable sections of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW):

OFFICIAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF: The annual meeting of the membership will be held at 2:45 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Spokane Convention Center in Spokane, WA; and

OFFICIAL NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN OF:

Nominations are being sought to fill SEVEN (7) seats on the Board of Directors, the terms for which expire this year. The newly-elected Directors will join NINE (9) other Directors (or their replacements appointed by the Board of Directors) who were elected to two-year terms last year, in 2017.

Currently, seven (7) incumbent Board members whose terms are expiring are:

• Billie Abers, City of Seattle - Office of Housing, Seattle; Past President;
• Holly Anderson, Catholic Charities-Yakima; President;
• Kathy Chaussee, Westwood Management & Development, Redmond;
• Glori Houston, Catholic Charities-Spokane;
• Elsie Janson, Pike Place Market PDA, Seattle,
• Spencer Anderson, United Marketing; Seattle;
• Sheila King, Multifamily Affordable Properties, Tacoma; 
represents the Associate Members and is a non-voting member of the Board

 

These nine Board members were elected last year, and have one year remaining to serve:
• Colleen Carr, Allied Residential, Renton;
• Connie Devaney, Kawabe Memorial House, Seattle;
• Michelle Hawley, Bellwether Housing, Seattle; Secretary;
• Shawna Higgins, Washington State Housing Finance Commission, Seattle;
• Leslie Hodson, Compass Health, Everett;
• Steven Judd, Finney Neill CPAs, Seattle; Treasurer;
• Doug Repman, Quantum Management Services, Inc., Lynnwood;
• Karen Sexton, Indigo Real Estate Services, Marysville; and
• Jennifer Wood, Cambridge Management, Inc., Tacoma.

Board seats can only be filled by, and nominations can only come from, Members in Good Standing. Nominations may come from the floor at the Annual Meeting.

DEADLINE

The deadline to nominate someone for either board is Friday, April 20, 2018.
