2023 AHMA Annual Meeting

The Affordable Housing Management Association of Washington (AHMA)  holds their annual meeting during the convention.  The election of board members takes place in this meeting.

In accordance with the Amended and Restated Bylaws of the Affordable Housing Management Association (AHMA) of Washington and under the applicable sections of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW):

OFFICIAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN OF: The annual meeting of the membership will be held at 1:15 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown in Tacoma, WA; and


Nominations are being sought to fill NINE (9) seats on the Board of Directors, the terms for which expire this year.  The newly-elected Directors will join SEVEN (7) other Directors (or their replacements appointed by the Board of Directors) who were elected to two-year terms last year, in 2022.  

Currently, nine (9) incumbent Board members whose terms are expiring are:  

  • Billie Abers, Allied Residential, Renton;
  • Spencer Anderson, United Marketing; Seattle; AHMA President;
  • Jennifer Branham, Coast Property Management, Everett;
  • Michelle Hawley, Bellwether Housing, Seattle; AHMA Immediate Past President;
  • Glori Houston, Catholic Charities Eastern Wa, Spokane; AHMA Secretary
  • Susan Meyers, Pan Pacific Properties, Seattle
  • Holly Paterson, Indigo Real Estate Services, Seattle;
  • Kevin Weishaar, Mercy Housing, Seattle; AHMA Vice President; and
  • Warren Westad, Ad-West Realty Services, Issaquah

These seven Board members were elected last year, and have one year remaining to serve:

  • Cicely Bradley, Security Properties Residential, Spokane;
  • Michelle House, Community Roots Housing; Seattle
  • Elsie Janson, Pike Place Market PDA, Seattle
  • Dianne Moreland, Low Income Housing Institute; Seattle
  • Deneen Mulligan, Shelter Resources, Inc.; Everett
  • Dawn Nielsen, Michaels Management Affordable; Seattle
  • Jason Hainsworth, Hainsworth Laundry, Spokane

    represents the Associate Members and is a non-voting member of the Board

Board seats can only be filled by, and nominations can only come from, Members in Good Standing. Nominations may come from the floor at the Annual Meeting.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to nominate themselves for positions for which they are qualified. Before nominating another member, please make sure you have that person’s consent.

All nominees will be required to provide a brief bio and statement of interest (not to exceed 500 words). We will distribute a document containing all the candidate statements by Tuesday, April 25, 2023.


The deadline to nominate someone for either board is Friday, April 21, 2023.
