Please find below a recent announcement regarding HUD’s publication of Annual Base City High-Cost Percentages and High-Cost Areas, the adjusted base amount per unit to define substantial rehabilitation, and basic statutory mortgage limits for FHA Multifamily Housing Programs for 2021.

Multifamily Production Update

 

The Annual Indexing of Basic Statutory Mortgage Limits for Multifamily Housing Programs; Annual Indexing of Substantial Rehabilitation Threshold Notice was published in the Federal Register on September 9.

Yesterday, HUD published the Annual Revisions to Base City High Cost Percentage, High Cost Area and Per Unit Substantial Rehabilitation Threshold for 2021 Housing Notice and Mortgagee Letter.

As both authorized and required by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2008, the Mortgagee Letter and Notice alert FHA-approved Multifamily mortgagees to the annual adjustment in the FHA Statutory Mortgage Limits and the list of High Cost Areas for 2021. The annual adjustment to the Statutory Limits is published in the Federal Register, and the High Cost Area limits are published in the Housing Notice and Mortgagee Letter.
