NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Announces COVID-19 Supplemental Payments for PBRA

April 14, 2021

Dear NAHMA Members,

HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing published Housing Notice 2021-01, Continued Availability of Funds for COVID-19 Supplemental Payments for Properties Receiving Project-Based Rental Assistance under the Section 8, Section 202, or Section 811 Programs. This Notice opens the third round of application submissions for owners to apply for funds to offset property expenditures to combat the effects of COVID-19 and the supplemental payments may cover Personal Protective Equipment associated with conducting vaccination and testing events and temporary clinics at the property; and vehicle reimbursement for transportation associated with vaccination.

Owners may submit payment requests for expenses incurred through March 31, 2021 and the request forms are due to HUD or the Contract Administrator by April 26, 2021. Owners may reference "Tips for completing COVID-19 supplemental payments form" on the Multifamily Home Page under the "What's New" section on the right. Property owners and management agents should still contact their assigned HUD Account Executive or Contract Administrator if they have any questions about property eligibility for a supplemental payment.

Housing Notice 2021-01 is attached and also available here.
