The HOME program is unique. While some of its rules sound a little like Section 8 rules and others sound a little like tax credit rules, HOME compliance works very differently from both of those programs. So whether you are dealing only with HOME or working on a project that combines HOME with tax credits or Section 8, understanding the HOME program is essential.

This webinar will be a 2-part training with the webinar taking place over 2 days, January 29 and February 19, from 10:00am – 11:30am PST each day. By registering for this presentation, you are registering for both sessions and will be sent separate sign-in instructions for each.
Part One January 29: HOME funding basics, Low HOME and High HOME Income limits and rents, “fixed” versus “floating” HOME units, subsidy payments, utility allowances, fees, rent increases and decreases, applications, affirmative marketing, leases, inspections, reporting and record keeping, non-compliance, qualifying households.
Part Two February 19: Qualifying households (continued), recertification requirements, effect of re-certification on “fixed” versus “floating” HOME units, calculating rent for over-income tenants, effects of combining LIHTC and HOME on income limits, rents, and compliance. Review of Part One and Two and test your knowledge.
