On December 6, 2023, we will hold a HOTMA Update webinar. This webinar is only open to those who have completed the HOTMA webinar series, either live or on demand. 

As one of the participants in the 6-session HOTMA series in August and September, you are invited to register for HOTMA Series Update which will cover only topics that were changed or clarified with the Supplemental Guidance of 9/29/2023 and the HUD phone call on 11/13/23 – both of which came out after the series had concluded. In this 90-minute webinar, Gwen will cover the following topics:

  • Child-Care Deductions for Foster Children
  • New definition of “non-necessary personal property
  • Clarification of how to calculate asset income from “included” and “non-included” non-necessary personal property
  • Changes to the asset cap applicability and how it will affect existing residents
  • Expanded applicability of the Medical/Disability Phase-In and General Relief
  • How to apply Means-Tested Verification
  • Non-interim Reexamination Transactions – what are they and when are they used?
  • New Hierarchy of Verification and reduction in required documentation
  • New ways to verify an SSN
