NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Announces the Enforcement of Standards on the Installation of CO Alarms or Detectors by December 27, 2022.

Dear NAHMA Members,

Today the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) issued PIH Notice 2022-01, announcing that HUD will enforce the Congressional requirement (Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021) of standards on the installation of carbon monoxide alarms or detectors in HUD-assisted housing by December 27, 2022.
