NAHMA HUD Update: HUD Notice for Implementation of Housing Choice Vouchers Mobility DemonstrationJuly 15, 2020 Dear NAHMA Members,
Today the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing published a Notice in the Federal Register[Docket No. FR-6191-N-01] implementing the Housing Choice Voucher mobility demonstration. The notice defines PHA eligibility criteria; establishes the application process (including setting forth the factors HUD will employ in rating and ranking PHA applications); and explains the special rules and requirements applicable to PHAs selected for participation in the demonstration. In addition, the notice identifies the specific waivers and alternative requirements established by Secretary Carson for the demonstration.
